Our thanks to 'Closer to Truth'

Since the coronavirus pandemic students in prisons across the UK have been left without any access to direct learning, confined to their cells, kicking their heels. Luckily for us, many students at HMP Wayland still have access to in-cell learning via the prison’s intranet system.

So it was great news when Robert Lawrence Kuhn from the Closer to Truth team gave Crito Proejct permission to host their videos on the Wayland intranet. Closer to Truth has been producing excellent content on cognitive science, physics, philosophy, neuroscience and theology for two decades now, and they specialise in hosting interviews with leading theorists in these fields. We focused on these interviews, uploading 60+ 15-minute interview to the prison intranet.

We may not be able to teach philosophy face-to-face for the foreseeable future, but at least our students can still watch entertaining and thought-provoking interviews on the subject, thanks to Closer to Truth.
